New start...

I started a new project this weekend....and I'm not liking it.
For the last couple of weeks I've not been in the mood for stitching, it's just too freezing cold and I'd rather get in bed and watch tv after work, but on Thursday I received the latest issue of Cross Stitcher magazine and saw this oriental lady and thought she was very pretty and maybe starting a new project would be a good thing to get my stitching mojo back. But as I worked on it I noticed the colors don't blend to well, the light plum is too light *ugh!*. So now I'm not sure if I want to continue working on her... or maybe with the backstitch I'll look better, right?

Great start:)

Is there a lot of backstitching on this one? I noticed on Geisha that some of the colors didn't blends as well as I think they should but there is tons of backstitching to do so I figure that is what will make it beautiful.

Oh no, not liking a new start, that's terrible. Maybe it will grow on you as you get more done ;)

Too bad you don't like your new start, maybe you will like it when you have done more...

Oh, just go on! When it is finished it surely will look nice. If you still don´t like it then, just give it to someone as a present ;-)

Maybe once you start to back stitch it the colors won't look so bad.

Backstitching can make a big difference, i think you are of to a great start! But i know how hard it is to stitch something if you're not enjoying it, it certainly wont help bring your mojo back. Good luck :)

It's pretty! Maybe once you do the backstitching over the top of it, it will look like you want.
