Needleroll for Sally

I just read that Sally received the needleroll I sent her for the HoE Needleroll Exchange, this one took some time to get there I was starting to panic :P !! I had just finished stitching the biscornu on dark chocolate belfast that I made for Linda and decided to try a dark fabric for this exchange too :) ...my choice this time was black linen. This was the first time I stitched on black fabric, I thought it would be very difficult but with the right light it was not hard at all :) !! The motifs on the needleroll are parts of a larger design by Banu Demirel called Blue Hue.

Hi Carla,

The biscornu that you stitched
for Sally looks amazing on the
black linen. Dark fabrics really
make the colours of the threads
pop! And you chose a beautiful
design to stitch too. Very pretty
colours.

A belated but heartfelt Happy
Birthday to you and Carol. How
nice to see a photo of you both,
and your brother too. I'll bet
Carol was thrilled with her gift.
The Lizzie Kate piece looks
wonderful in the frame that you
chose for it.

And the biscornu that you stitched
for Linda on the chocolate coloured
linen looks absolutely delicious...
er...gorgeous. Those wonderful
designs on the Tantes Zolder blog
site lend themselves nicely to
these type of finishes.

Your Trick or Treat Fairy is
looking great too, and you're so
right...she does have a lovely
face.

Cheers!!
