A small finish

A week ago a stitched this cute design from Tournicoton and yesterday finished it as a pinkeep. It's so tiny, I just love it :) . The pattern called for Vikki Clayton silk thread but as I don't have these I used the alternative DMC convertion that was provided. I really like how the Spider web stitches look (border of the design), it the first time I stitch them and they were not difficult at all!!
I added ribbon roses on the edge of the pinkeep. My plan was to fill the edges with these but then I thought it was a little to much so instead put some pins...I think it looks better this way.

Design: Petite Pause by Tournicoton
Fabric: 32ct White Lugana
Threads: DMC
Stitched: 06. October. 2007

The postman brought a package with some charts a bought earlier this month. Like I said in a previous post I plan to stitch the Coffee/Tea series from LHN and frame them for my mom's kitchen...so this week I received the latest Frappuccino. Can't wait to start stitching these!!!

LHN - Princess and the P, CCN - Home Sweet Home , LHN - Frappuccino
Some Crescent Colours and a piece of R&R Antique Cotton

So pretty and delicate looking. The silk roses are a lovely touch and those spider web stitches look great. I don't think I've ever seen that stitch before.
