Good Things

Are you ready to see my first tin ever!!!! I'm pretty proud of it :)
A couple of months ago, Taija from Finland asked me if I was willing to do a swap with her, we set up a mailing date and agreed that we surprise each other on what we were going to send. I decided to make a tin topper using a L*K chart that CarolS sent me earlier this year in an exchange; I wasn't brave enough to do a small size tin so I used a large one :P . I'm not that good at gluing things so the top (stitched pieced) is laced to a cardboard and then sewn to the fabric I used to cover the sides of the tin. All the tutorials I found online used glue for this step, I tried it but didn't come out nice...it actually looked ugly so instead I sewed it, using the same technique that I use in my pinkeeps, I think it turned out pretty good :) Even Carol (my worst critic ;) ) called me to work one day and said that she had seen the tin while she was home visiting mom and that she really liked it, she even brought me another large tin so I can do another tin topper in the future :)
Taija let know today that she had received my package and that she loves the tin...I'm glad she liked it!

Estan listas para ver mi primer "tin topper"!!!
