Birthday gift

I've been stitching for an exchange, so no pictures of my stitching today. But I do have a stitchy picture to share. A few weeks ago Chiloe asked if I'd receive any stitchy gift for my birthday, well I did receive one. My friend Marita made me a pinkeep, and gave it to me during a small dinner we had to celebrate my birthday. I met Marita almost a year ago and we've become really good friends, she's not stitching much lately because she's found a new hobby: painting...saw some of her stuff last week and she's made a lot of lovely stuff, I'll take a picture of it next time I visit her, so I can show you some of her work.

Hoy no tengo ninguna de foto de mis bordados que mostrarles ya que he estado bordando para un intercambio; pero les muestro un pinkeep que me hizo mi amiga Marita como regalo de cumpleaños. Conozco a Marita desde hace casi un año y la considero una muy buena amiga. Por ahora ella ha dejado un poco de lado el punto cruz pues ha encontrado un nuevo hobby: la pintura pero igual encontro un poco de tiempo para hacerme este bello regalo. La próxima vez que la vea tratare de tomarle fotos a algunos de sus trabajos para mostrarselos...son muy lindos!

The Guardian

First of all, sorry about not being able to visit your blogs lately, I visited them on small breaks at work but this past two weeks have been crazy with little or no time to read blogs. I'll try to catch up this weekend!

Perdonme por no haber podido visitar y dejar comentarios en sus blogs, he estado con muchísimo trabajo estas dos últimas semanas. Este fin de semana tratare de ponerme al día!

Way back, on February, I posted about a Dimensions kit my dad wanted me to stitch for him to hang it on his new apartment...well finally, 6 months later I decided to pick it up and work on it. I started it on March but only stitched on it for one evening then I decided I didn't feel like working on it and put it away. This is my progress after 10 hours.
Well I'm off to start stitching for a Halloween exchange ... Have a nice rest of the weekend.

A fines de febrero, les comenté acerca de un kit de Dimensions que mi papá había comprado para que se lo bordara para su nuevo departamento....bueno pues, luego de 6 meses, finalmente estoy trabajando en él. En realidad lo comencé en marzo pero sólo bordé en él un día pues no me "llamaba" a hacerlo; pero bueno eso ya es pasado y este es mi avance luego de 10 horas.

Bueno bueno será mejor que me desconecte pues tengo que comenzar a bordar para un intercambio de Halloween...sigan disfrutando lo que queda del fin de semana.

I met my first goal ;)

Well it was a really an easy goal to accomplish . I bought this pattern on the new ONS Creative Poppy, I like the fact that you can download your pattern immediately and don't have to wait for it to be delivered which in my case take around 10 days to get to Peru. I started it on Friday evening and finished it last night...very quick and easy. It's the first time I stitch a design in red and definetively won't be the last. I'm going to frame it so until then it's going to the waiting to-be-framed pile .

Ya puedo marcar una meta como cumplida de mi lista para setiembre...la verdad, era super fácil de cumplir . Hace unos días compre este patron de la nueva tienda online Creative Poppy, esta tienda vende patrones de varios diseñadores los cuales puedes bajar en formato PDF, esto me parece genial pues no tienes que esperar...soy muy impaciente y detesto esperar a que llegue mi orden cuando compro por internet. Bueno lo empece en viernes en la noche y ayer lo teminé, suoer fácil y super rápido...es la primera vez que hago un bordado todo en rojo y lo he disfrutado mucho así que definitivamente no va a ser el último. Lo pienso enmaracar pero eso será más adelante cuando tenga algún tiempito libre .

September Goals

I've seen on many blogs that stitchers set goals at the beginning of each month. So I'm going to do that this month and see if by having goals I finish faster my WIPs. Here are my September goals:

1. Finish and mail - SBEBB Grateful Heart Exchange
2. Start and finish - SBEBB Halloween Exchange
3. Finish stitching on Bouncing Annie
4. Work at least 10 hrs on The Guardian by Dimensions
5. Work at least 10 hrs on Sarah Kay
6. Participate on this month's Stitch-A-Thon (21-23 September)


En muchos blogs he visto que el primero de cada mes, bordadoras se establecen metas a cumplir en cuanto a sus labores. He decidido establecerme algunas para ver que tal me va, y ver así logro mejores avances en mis trabajos. Bueno estas son mis metas del mes de setiembre:

1. Terminar y enviar el intercambio SBEBB Grateful Hearts (tema corazones)
2. Comenzar y terminar de bordar el intercambio SBEBB Halloween (tema Halloween)
3. Terminar de bordar Bouncing Annie
4. Trabajar al menos 10hrs en The Guardian de Dimensions
5. Trabajar al menos 10hrs en Sarah Kay
6. Participar en el Stitch-A-Thon de este mes (21-23 de setiembre)
