Goal review for November

These were my goals for November...

1. Mail SBEBB Specific Designer exchange ~ Mailed but not yet received by my partner
2. Finish and mail SBEBB Christmas ornament exchange ~ It's finished and ready to be mailed tomorrow
3. Work at least 10 hours on The Guardian ~ Almost, completed 8 hrs
4. Stitch and finish(?) The Sampler Lady ~ Yes and YES!!!


Estas fueron mis metas para noviembre...

1. Enviar el intercambio SBEBB Specific Designer ~ Ya fue enviado, pero mi compañera aùn no lo recibe
2. Terminar y enviar el intercambio de la Adorno de Navidad de SBEBB ~ Ya esta terminado y listo para ser enviado mañana.
3. Bordar al menos 10 horas en The Guardian ~ Casi...completé 8 horas
4. Continuar bordando y terminar (?) The Sampler Lady ~ Si y sip!

LHN Exchange from Mindi!

Yesterday when I got home from work I saw a big package waiting for me to be opened ... it was a package from Mindi for the SBEBB Specific Designer Exchange (Little House Needleworks). She made a beautiful pinkeep with a LHN design that was on my wishlist, it's stitched 1 over 1 and it's personalized with my name and the year... I LOVE it!

She also sent me the 2007 Just Cross Stitch Christmas Issue that was on my wishlist and that it's perfect for my current xmas stitching mood .

Ayer al llegar a casa después del trabajo, vi que había llegado un paquete para mí , era de Mindi para el intercambio "Specific Designer" del foro SBEBB. Ella me envió un pinkeep usando uno de Little House Needleworks diseño que estaba en mi "wishlist"; esta bordado 1 sobre 1 y pesonalizado con mi nombre y el año...me ENCANTA!!! Además me envio la edición de Navidad de la revista americana Just Cross Stitch que también estaba en mi "wishlist" y que me viene perfecto pues como mencioné en la entrada anterior tengo ganas de bordar motivos navideños.

These are all the lovely goodies that Mindi sent me...a ribbon, beautiful beaded fob, a candle (that smells soooo good!), the xmas magazine, a wooden snowflake to finish one if the ornies that comes in the magazine and some yummy truffles! (yes I've already ate them ).

Estas son todas las cosillas que me envió Mindi...cinta, un lindo fob de cuentitas, una vela (que huele riquísimo!), la revista, un copo de nieve de madera para terminar un adornito de los que viene en la revista y unas trufas buenisimas (que por supuesto ya me las comí ).

The Sampler Lady is finished!

It took me a month but she is finally done! I'm so happy . I stitched her on 32ct Antique Cotton R&R Reproduction Linen using DMC and Crescent Colours as charted. It took me 4 evenings to finish the skirt...I guess I'm kinda slow . I want to have this one framed, I'll try to look for a frame similar to the one that is pictured in the chart. I don't know what I'm going to stitch next, I'm thinking some Christmas ornaments...on Saturday I finished a ornament for an exchange and now I'm on a Xmas mood .

My laptop crashed last week so I'm way behind blog reading and commenting...hopefully I can catch up this week.

Me tomo todo un mes...pero finalmente terminé The Sampler Lady..estoy feliz !! La bordé sobre lino 32ct Antique Cotton. Tardé 4 noches en terminar la falda...ufff supongo que soy un poco lenta . Voy a mandar a enmarcar esta pieza, trataré de encontrar un marco similar al de la foto que muestra el gráfico pues me gusta mucho como se ve. No estoy segura cuál será mi próximo proyecto, tal vez sea algún adornito navideño...este fin de semana terminé un adorno para un intercambio de Navidad y la verdad es que me he quedado con las ganas de seguir bordando temas navideños .

Weekend progress

As promised here is my progress on The Sampler Lady after stitching on it during the weekend. I didn't make a lot of progress because I also worked on an exchange that I have to post this week. I was kind of worried that the letters might not show to well on the fabric but I think they look just fine :)

Como mencioné en el post anterior durante el fin de semana bordé en The Sampler Lady, no logré avanzar mucho pues tenía que terminar un intercambio que debo enviar esta semana. Estaba un poco preocupada de que las letras no se notaran bien sobre la tela, pero creo que sí se leen bien :)

The Sample Lady ~ Progress

I've been stitching a little on The Sampler Lady. I have not made a lot of progress but plan to stitch on it again later tonight and tomorrow so hopefully on Monday I will show you my weekend progress. This is the second LHN design I stitch, the first one is for an exchange so I can not show you a picture yet, but with both design I've enjoyed every stitch :) ...now I have a lot of LHN charts in my To-Do list :)

He estado avanzando un poco The Sampler Lady; no es mucho el progreso pero planeo seguir trabajando en él esta noche y mañana por lo que espero poder mostrarles mi avance del fin de semana el lunes. Este es el segundo diseño de LHN que hago, el primero es para un intercambio que aún no puedo mostrar, bueno la cosa es que trabajar en estos diseño ha sido muy grato por lo que ahora tengo una super lista de graficos de LHN que deseo hacer :)

Progress on The Guardian

This weekend I stitched a little bit on The Guardian. This time I focused on the background which is mainly done with half stitch with 2, 3, 4 or 5 threads. Stitching with 5 threads on a 18ct fabric is kind of difficult because I can seems to get the threads to lie nicely :(

Este fin de semana bordé en The Guardian, me enfoque en el fondo que consta principalmente de medio punto con 2, 3, 4, o 5 hilos. Bordar con 5 hilos en una tela 18ct me parece un poco difícil pues no logro que los hilos queden correctamente sobre la tela :(

I also wanted to share with you a couple of photos of my nephew Joaquin in his Halloween custome. He was a lion...well a chubby lion :) . My brother said that it look like the lion swallowed a pumpkin LOL . I think he looks ADORABLE!!

También quería enseñarles un par de fotos de mi sobrino Joaquín con su disfraz de Halloween. El disfraz elegido fue un león...un león gordito :) Mi hermano decía que parecía que el león se había tragado la calabaza jiji . No les parece que se ve precioso con su disfraz!!!
