Christmas Ornament exchange from Margaret

Today when I got home from work, I found a package waiting for me :) It was my HoE Christmas Ornament exchange from Margaret!! She stitched me a lovely ornament using a design by Midsummer Night Designs called Jingle Sparkle Joy...I love it! In her card she says that she stitched it on a mystery piece of linen using the DMC floss as specified in the chart. In the package she included lots of extra goodies: fabrics, pins, ribbon and Christmas buttons!!

Hoy al llegar a casa del trabajo, encontré un paquete para mí :) Era el intercambio de Navidad del grupo HoE que Margaret me había enviado!! Ella me envió un lindo adorno bordado usando un diseño gratis de Midsummer Night Designs llamado Jingle Sparkle Joy. En su nota me indica que lo realizó en un pedazo de lino no identificado usando hilos DMC en los colores que especificaba el gráfico. En el paquete incluyó: telas, alfileres, cintas y botones...todo muy lindo!!!

HoE Christmas Exchange for CarolS

Yesterday I received a lovely email from CarolS letting me know she had received the ornie I made for her for the HoE Christmas Ornament Exchange and, better yet, she thinks it's gorgeous :)

I chose to stitch a freebie from Plum Pudding NeedleArt, called Fa La La! When I saw this design I just knew it was perfect for Carol :) ! I used 40ct R&R Reproduction Linen (first time using this count ... and loved it!!) and stitched it with the called for DMC threads except the red one that I used WDW Garnet. I think it turned out super cute and have to stitch it again for myself one day :)

Ayer recibí un correo de CarolS diciendo que había recibido sano y salvo el adorno que le envié para el intercambio de navidad del grupo Hooked on Exchanging, y además que consideraba que era hermoso el adorno :)
Escogí bordarle un freebie de Plum Pudding NeedleArt llamado Fa La La! Cuando ví el diseño me pareció que era perfecto para Carol :) Lo bordé sobre un lino 40ct Ice Cappuccino de R&R Reproduction (es la primera vez que uso un lino 40ct .... y me encantó!!) con los hilos DMC que indicaba el diseño expecto el rojo que lo sustituí por WDW Garnet. Creo que quedo muy lindo y definitivamente lo tengo que bordar otra vez para mí :)

A finish and rotating

This week Barbara Ana has released new designs for Christmas. I model stitched one of them, "Deer Friend". A quick and fun stitch :) She also has realesed an e-book with Christmas Ornament (in collaboration with Helga Mandl), 18 designs for just US$5.00!!! You can see a pic of those on her website

Esta semana Barbara Ana he publicado sus nuevos diseños para Navidad. Yo bordé uno de ellos, "Deer Friend"; como siempre un diseño divertido y muy fácil de bordar :) Además a publicado un e-book con 18 diseños de adornos navideños (en colaboración con Helga Mandl) por sólo US$5.00...todo una ganga!!Pueden ver fotos de estos en su página web

This month I started a rotation....again :) I wanted to start some Christmas projects but also keep working on the ones I already had in progress, that's why I thought a rotation was the perfect solution. So if you wanted to see a pic of Christmas is Forever finished you'll have to wait a little bit, meanwhile I'll leave you with a pic of Halloween Fairy (this is how she looked like back in september).

Este mes comencé un rotacion...de nuevo :) Queria comenzar varios proyectos para navidad pero a la vez continuar con los que ya tenía en progreso, y entonces la única solución que ví para eso era comenzar una rotación. Los que querian ver una foto de Christmas is Forever terminado tendran que esperar un poquito, mientras tanto los dejo con una foto de mi progreso en Halloween Fairy (así es como se veía en setiembre)

This week I was in the mood for some Christmas stitching, so I started Lizzie*Kate's Special Edition kit "Christmas is Forever". I'm already half way thru it and loving the colors she chose for this design :)

Esta semana estaba con ganas de bordar algo relacionado a la Navidad, por lo que decidí comenzar este kit de Lizzie*Kate llamado "Christmas is Forever". Ya estoy por la mitad y me encantan los colores que se usan en este diseño :)

A small happy dance

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been posting on a weekly basis as I usually do, but I've had tons of things to do at work and felt too tired when I got home so I haven't stitched much lately :( But I did have a small happy dance on October and finished this freebie I found on Cosmic Handmade . I decided to finish it as a pincushion and stitched "Think Pink" on the back...I reallly like how it turn out, I think it looks very femenine ºÜº

Holas!! Perdonen que no haya podido actualizar mi blog semanalmente como usualmente lo hago, pero es que he tenido muchísimas cosas que hacer en el trabjo y llegaba a casa super cansada con muy pocas ganas de bordar :( Pero si logré acabar un freebie que encontré en Cosmic Handmade por el mes de la prevención de cancer de mama; decidí terminarlo como un alfiletero y bordé en la parte trasera "Think Pink"... creo que quedo muy femenino ºÜº
