Biscornu

Here is a pic of my second finish of the year...a biscornu that I stitched as a gift for Marita, a fellow stitcher that I met a month ago. The design is a motif from the sampler "Und wieder einmal...", its done on lugana with GAST 7005 (Old Red Paint). The initial of our names are stitched 1x1.

Aquí les muestro el tercer biscornu que he hecho, lo hice para Marita, a quien conocí hace un mes y con la que comparto la misma afición por el punto cruz. El diseño es un motivo de un sampler encontrado en este link, esta realizado sobre lugana con hilo GAST 7005 (Old Red Paint). Las iniciales de nuestros nombres están bordados 1x1. Este es el segundo proyecto que he terminado este año, pero recién publico la foto hoy ya que se lo entregue ayer que tuvimos una pequeña reunión en su casa.

I Love My Dog

I just had my third HD of the year, its a freebie I found on Cyberstitchers website. It's stitched on 16ct Aida with DMC. I'm going to finish it as a box and as I'm giving it to my sis Carol I stitched the name of one of our dogs "Mylo" on the dog's plate

You may be wondering what was my second finish of 2007 ...I've not posted a pic of it yet because its a gift for a fellow stitcher and I haven't give it to her yet...as soon as she receives it I'll post a pic

Hoy termine mi tercer bordado del año, es un freebie que encontre en Cyberstitchers. Lo borde sobre 16ct Aida con hilos DMC. Lo quiero terminar como una pequeña caja y dárselo a mi hermana Carol, para personalizarlo un poco bordé el nombre de uno de nuestro perros en el plato de comida.

Aún no enseño una foto de el segundo proyecto terminado del año pues es un regalo...apenas lo reciba la persona a quien va dirigido se los enseñare.

My first ornie ever !!!

Today I finished my first ornament ever! YAY!!
It was a little bit more difficult that I had expected, but I think it looks OK. I'll do more ornaments during the year, and hopefully improve my technique

No esperaba que fuera fácil hacerlo pero la verdad padecí un poco más de lo que había pensado. Espero en el año hacer algunos más y de esta manera mejorar cada vez más mi técnica y que el resultado final sea mucho mejor

Baby's Friends

As I wrote in my previous post I'm planning to stitch twice a week on the Birth Announcement I'm doing for my little nephew Joaquin. After 2 evenings of stitching on it here is my progress, I think I've progressed a lot.

Este es mi progreso en el recuerdo de nacimiento que estoy bordando, me parece que he avanzado bastante en sólo 2 tardes de bordar en él.

This week I received some new stash I bought online. Two kits and a chart from Shepherd's Bush (FaLaLa, Mother's Heart and Star) and also the beads and DMC floss Carol needed to stitch Bliss Fairy (Mirabilia). I want to stitch Mother's Heart to give it to my mom on Mother's Day, can't wait to start it but first I have to finish the birth announcement.

Esta semana me llegaron algunas cosillas que compré por internet, 2 kits y un grafico de Shepherd's Bush y además me llegaron las mostacillas e hilos que le faltaban a Carol para poder realizar Bliss fairy de Mirabilia. Uno de los kits, Mother's Heart, es para dárselo a mi mamá por el día de la madre, pero antes de poder empezarlo tengo que terminar el proyecto que estoy haciendo para mi sobrinito Joaquín.

SBQ - First 2007 Happy Dance

Yep! I already had my first happy dance of 2007 ...it was a small freebie from SB called Shepherd's Heart. I want to finish it as a small ornament; it will be the first time I do one so I hope it will look OK ...later this week I'll post a pic of how it turned out.

After more than 2 months...

Last week I worked, after more than 2 months, on the birth record I was doing for my nephew Joaquin (here is the previous pic). Two weeks ago I received an email from my brother, he had visited my blog and asked me if I was going to finish it before the baby's 1st birthday. I felt bad so I decided to work on it again. My goal is to stitch on it at least 2 days each week; here is a pic of my progress so far. I'm going to try to finish it before the summer is over (its summer this time of year in Peru).

La semana pasada después de más de 2 meses retomé mi bordado de un recuerdo de nacimiento que estoy haciendo para mi sobrino Joaquín. Hace un par de semanas recibí un mail de mi hermano preguntádome si lo acabaría antes de que el bebé cumpla 1 año...me sentí un poquitín mal de haberlo tenido abandonado así que lo he retomado. Mi meta es acabarlo antes de que termine el verano, y me he propuesto trabajar en él al menos 2 veces a la semana. La foto muestra mi progreso hasta la fecha, así estaba hace 2 meses.

Carla's first finish for 2007!!!

YAY my first finish of 2007!!! This week I bought a couple of kits from Shepherd's Bush...so while a wait for them to be delivered I decided to stitch a small SB's freebie, it's called Shepherd's Hearts. I love the color of this design, I think if I enjoyed stitching this freebie I would absolutely enjoy stitching the kits

I changed the color of the sheeps; legs, tail and head are stitched with DMC 371 and the fur is stitched with WDW 1091 (Whitewash).

Happy new year everyone! Hope you had a lot of fun celebrating the new year.
I did some stitching during the holidays, not much really. But finally all the bears are done, complete with backstitch and everything.
Because it's now summer here, I've decided not to finish this proyect as an afghan anymore. So I'm rather finishing it as a quilt for the baby's crib that way they can use it to decorate his room. Now I just have to find someone to finish it for me after I'm done with the stitching since my sewing skills are very poor.
