A bit of progress...

I've been stitching a little bit every month on The Guardian, I still have a long way to go but I can finally say I'm enjoying working on it :) I'm doing a time rotation again so I get to work on him once or twice a month. Here is my progress pic after 146.5 hours :)

He estado bordando en The Guardian un poquito cada mes, aún me queda un largo camino por recorrer para terminarlo pero al menos ya disfruto trabajar en él :) Estoy rotando cada 10 horas mis proyectos por lo que me toca bordar en él al menos una o dos veces a la semana. Acá mi progreso después de 146.5 horas de bordar en él :)

A few month ago I won a drawing held by Giovi in her blog, and yesterday I received my prize :) Look what she made for me... isn't it adorable!! :) That saying is just perfect for me ºÜº !!

Hace unos meses gané un concurso que Giovi realizé en su blog, ayer recibí mi premio :) Miren lo que ella hizo para mí...no es adorable!! :) El mensajito es perfecto para mi ºÜº !!

Let it snow

While searching for a pattern to stitch for an upcoming exchange, I came across this freebie that I had printed out to stitch some day. I stitched it on 32 Summer Winds Lugana (Zweigart) with DMC threads as recommended by the designer, and finished it as small ornament...very simple and cute :) . On the back I stitched a small snowflake and the year.

Mientras buscaba un patrón para bordar para un próximo intercambio me encontré con este gráfico gratis que había impreso para bordarlo algún día. Lo bordé en lugana 32ct Summer Winds de Zweigart con los hilos DMC que recomienda la diseñadora, lo terminé como un pequeño adorno...sencillo pero igual lindo :) En la parte trasera bordé un pequeño copo de nieve y el año.

A gift and update

Just got my camera back so I can finally share a little gift I received earlier this week. Carol sent me this lovely Christmas ornament!! In her note she told me she chose to send this one to me as she knows that I like small ornies ... and yes I do! It's perfect, thank you Carol :)

Por fin tengo mi cámara asi que ya les puedo mostrar un pequeño regalo que recibí hace unos días. Carol me envió este lindo adornito de Navidad!! En su nota me dice que eligió enviarmelo pues sabe que me gustan los adornos pequeñitos...y si me gustan chiquitos :)

This weekend I've been stitching a little bit on Halloween Fairy; the fairy is almost finished just need to add some stitches with Kreinik on her skirt and then add then I'll move on to the pumpkins and moon (I think I'll add the rest of the beads in the end). I won't stitch the owl that's sitting on her left arm I don't like it that much and think the design looks great even without it :)

Este fin de semana he bordado un poco en Halloween Fairy, el hada esta casi terminada sólo falta agregarle algunas puntadas con Kreinik en su falda y luego bordaré las calabazas y la luna (creo que agregaré el resto de las mostacillas para el final). No bordaré el búho que esta su brazo izquierdo, no me gusta mucho y creo que el diseño igual se ve bien sin él.

Last week I finished Christmas is Forever , it was a slow week at work so I took my stitching to work and stitched and stitched and stitched until I finished it :) Love the bright colors on this piece!

La semana pasada termine de bordar Christmas is Forever, habia poco que hacer en el trabajo asi que aproveche y lleve mi bordado y borde, borde y borde hasta que lo termine :) Me encantan los colores usados en este diseño!

I also wanted to show you two pieces that I had framed recently. The first one is Lucas, the Love Elf by Barbara Ana Designs for which I chose a simple white frame :) And the second, is Sampler Lady by Little House Needlework , which I finished last year.

Tambien queria enseñarles dos bordados que han sido enmarcados receintemente. El primero es Lucas, the Love Elf de Barbara Ana Designs para el cual escogi un marco blanco simple. Y el segundo es Sampler Lady de Little House Needleworks que borde el año pasado.
