Needleroll for Sally

I just read that Sally received the needleroll I sent her for the HoE Needleroll Exchange, this one took some time to get there I was starting to panic :P !! I had just finished stitching the biscornu on dark chocolate belfast that I made for Linda and decided to try a dark fabric for this exchange too :) ...my choice this time was black linen. This was the first time I stitched on black fabric, I thought it would be very difficult but with the right light it was not hard at all :) !! The motifs on the needleroll are parts of a larger design by Banu Demirel called Blue Hue.

Acabo de leer que Sally ya recibio el "needleroll" que le envié para el intercambio de needleroll del grupo HoE, este si que se tomo su tiempo en llegar ya estaba entrando en pánico :P !! Acababa de terminar el biscornu en la tela chocolate que le envié a Linda y decidí que para este intercambio también usaría una tela oscura...en esta ocasión mi elección fue un lino negro. Fue la primera vez que bordaba en tela negra, pensé que iba a ser muuuy complicado pero no lo fue para nada sólo debía hacerlo con la luz adecuada :) . Los motivos en el needleroll son partes de un diseño de Banu Demirel llamado "Blue Hue"

Progress on Halloween Fairy

I promised myself I would try to update my blog at least once a week, so here is my progress on one of my current wips. Today I worked on Halloween Fairy, such a fun stitch and her face is beautiful!...I had to backstitch it so I could see how beautiful she is :)

Me prometí a mí misma tratar de postear al menos una vez a la semana, así que aquí les muestro mi avance en Halloween Fairy. Disfruto mucho bordándola y su cara es hermosa!...tuve que hacer el pespunte para ver realmente lo bonita que es :)

Finally have some time to update my blog, I've been super busy at work so no time for blogging and very little time for stitching :(

First of all I wanted to thank everyone for your birthday wishes for me and my sister :) Here is a pic of us with our brother Daniel on our birthday (I'm the one on the left and Carol's on the right with curly hair)

Finalmente encuentro el tiempo para actualizar mi blog, he tenido muchisimo trabajo estas ultimas semanas por lo que no he tenido tiempo de "postear" nada y muy poquito tiempo para bordar :(

Primero que nada queria agradecerle por los saludos de cumpleaños para mi y mi hermana :) Aqui les muestro una foto de nosotras con nuestro hermano Daniel el día de nuestro cumple (yo soy la de la izquierda y Carol es la rulos en la derecha)

And here's a pic of Living with Charm, this as you might remember was my birthday gift for Carol. I chose a very simple frame for it and really like how it came out.

On Friday, Linda let me know she received the biscornu I sent her for the SBEBB exchange. Linda has made lots of beautiful biscornus so I was a little bit nervious when I got her name for this exchange...Linda says she likes it so that is great news :) !! The design is a freebie from My Aunt's Attic and it's stitched on Dark Chocolate Belfast Linen with a hand dyed thread by fellow stitcher Aniza

El viernes, Linda me escribio para hacerme saber que habia recibido el biscornu que le envie para el intercambio del for SBEBB. Linda hace hermosos biscornus así que cuando me toco su nombre para este intercambio esta un poquitin nerviosa...Linda me dijo que le gusto mucho asi que esas son muy buenas noticias :) !! El diseño que bordé es un freebie del blog "My Aunt's Attitc, y esta realizado sobre un lino Belfast chocolate oscuro con un hilo teñido a mano por Aniza.

August was not a great month for my stitching goals, I just didn't have a lot of free time and when I did I was too tired to stitch :(
1. Mail out the SBEBB Biscornu exchange ~ Yes!!
2. Stitch and finish a needleroll for the HoE Needleroll exchange ~ I stitched it on August but finished it as a needleroll on Sept 1st. ...so I guess it's a: Nope!
3. Finish and take to the framer L*K's Living with Charm ~ Yes!
4. Stitch at least 15 hours on The Guardian ~ Nope! Didn't pick it up at all!!
5. Start a Halloween design ~ Started 2 projects and finished one of them, Spooky Sheep
6. Stitch and finish a scissor for the Monthly Finishing Challenge blog ~ Nope!
And I also finished a secret project this month :)

Agosto no fue un mes muy bueno para mis "metas puntocruceras", he tenido muy poco tiempo libre y cuando lo tenia estaba muy cansada para bordar :(
1. Enviar el biscornu para el intercambio del foro SBEBB ~ Sip!
2. Bordar y terminar un needleroll para un intercambio del foro HoE ~ Lo termine de bordar en agosto pero el ensamblado lo hice el 1ro de setiembre...asi que es un Nop!
3. Terminar y llevar a enmarcar "Living with Charm" de Lizzie Kate ~ Si!
4. Bordar al menos 15 horas en The Guardian ~ Nop! No lo toque para nada!
5. Empezar un proyecto para Halloween ~ Empece 2 proyectos y termine uno de ellos, Spooky Sheep
6. Bordar y terminar un "scissor fob" para el reto de este mes en el blog Monthly Finishing Challenge ~ Nop!

Hopefully on September I won't be too busy or tired...so here are my goals for this month :)
1. Mail out the HoE Needleroll Exchange ~ Yes!!
2. Stitch at least 15 hours on The Guardian
3. Start L*K's Christmas Spirit and stitch the 4 first blocks
4. Work on Halloween Fairy
5. Stitch and finish Hallowscornu
6. Update my blog at least once a week ;)

Esperemos que en setiembre no tenga tanto trabajo y no este cansada todo el tiempo...asi que estas son mis metas para el mes :)
1. Enviar el neddleroll para el intercambio del grupo HoE ~ Sip!!
2. Bordar al menos 15 horas en The Guardian
3. Comenzar "Christmas Spirit" de Lizzie Kate y bordar los primero cuatro bloques
4. Bordar en Halloween Fairy
5. Bordar y terminar Hallowscornu
6. Actualizar mi blog por lo menos una vez a la semana ;)

Birthday gifts from Mary ºÜº

This week I received a birthday gift from Mary, who was my partner on the Stitching Bloggers Birthday Club, my birthday is on Thursday but as soon as I got the package I couldn't wait to open and see what she had made for me :). Look at this beautiful pinkeep, so perfectly stitched and finished...I love it!! She included lots of goodies, fabric, silk floss, charts from my wish list, ribbon, buttons, tea and Altoid mints.

Esta semana recibí un regalo de cumpleaños de parte de Mary, quien fue mi compañera en el blog Stitching Bloggers Birthday Club. Mi cumpleaños es el jueves pero no pude esperar hasta ese día para abrir el regalo que me envio :) Miren el lindo "pinkeep" que hizo para mí, perfectamente bordado y terminado...esta precioso, me encanta! En su paquete incluyó muchas cositas, telas, hilo de seda, gráficos de LHN, cinta, botones, té y mentas Altoid. Todo super lindo...muchas gracias Mary por este maravilloso regalo de cumpleaños!!

Some Halloween stitching

After seeing Halloween projects on many of the blogs I read, I kind of felt the need to stitch something halloweenie :) . Started Halloween Fairy (a.k.a. Trick or Treat Fairy by Nora Corbett, as soon as I saw pic of her online I knew I wanted to stitch her. This is the first time I stitch a Nora Corbett design, so I'm pretty excited about it :) . I'm using a hand-dyed fabric called London Fog by Silweaver, not sure if I chose the right color though but I'm not going to change it, it doesn't look bad but I feel it doesn't not stand out like I'd like to.

Después de ver proyectos de Halloween en muchos de los blogs que leo, me entraron las ganas de hacer uno a mi también :) Comencé "Halloween Fairy" de Nora Corbett, ni bien ví una foto de ella en Internet me encanto y supe que queria bordarla. Es la primera vez que realizo un diseño de Nora Corbett así que estoy muy entusiasmada por ello :) Estoy usando una tela de Silveawer llamada London Fog, no estoy muy segura si elegi la tela adecuada pero ni modo no la pienso cambiar ya que creo que se vea mal simplemente no destaca como me hubiera gustado.

Here's a small finish I had on Saturday, Spooky Sheep...I wanted something fast and cute to finish and this was what I chose. Changed a little bits the "o" in BOO, I made them rounder. I'm not sure how I'm going to finish it, so you'll have to wait and see. I picked up "Living with Charm" from the framer last week, I think it turned out really nice...I'll share a picture with you next week as it's Carol b-day gift and she hasn't seen it in person yet :)

Aqui les muestro los que termine el sabado, Spooky Sheep de Shepherd's Bush...queria algo rapido que bordar y esta fue mi eleccion. Hice las "o" de BOO un poquito mas redondas, el resto lo bordé tal cual lo indica el grafico. No estoy segura de como lo quiero terminar asi que tendran que esperar un poquito para ver que se me ocurre. La semana pasada recogi del enmarcador "Living with Charm", me parece que ha quedado muy bonito...les enseñare una foto de el la proxima semana pues es mi regalo de cumpleaños para Carol y ella aun no lo ha visto :)

Yay a HD!!

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a lovely weekend :) Mine was very nice...slept a lot, ate way too much and had a happy dance!!

Last night I put my final stitch on Living with Charm, it's the first time I do one of L*K's series and I've really enjoyed working on it...next in line is her new Christmas series (Christmas Spirit) which I'm going to start next month, right now I'm in a Halloween stitching mood ;)

On Saturday, I'm taking this piece to the framer...I'll show you pic of it when I have it back (I'll try to take better pics of it then, the one I took today doesn't show the true colors of the piece).

Holas!! Que tal el fin de semana? :)El mio super bien...domi mucho, comi demasiado y termine un proyecto!! Anoche puse la puntada final en "Living with Charm", es la primera vez que hago una de las series de L*K y me ha encantado...el proximo sera la nueva serie de Navidad ("Christmas Spirit") el cual empezare el proximo mes pues por el momento tengo ganas de bordar temas de Halloween ;)

El sabado lo llevare a enmarcar, cuando lo tenga de regreso le tomare mejores fotos...las que tome hoy no muestra bien los colores.

3. Stitch at least 15 hours on The Guardian ~ Yes!!
4. Finish Back on the Road Again ~ Yes!!! Took me six month but it's finally finished :)
5. Stitch and finish a scissors pocket/keeper/sheath for the Monthly Finishing Challenge blog ~ Nope
And also:
- Finished and mailed a personal exchange
- Stitched and finished 2 secret projects :)

Julio ha sido un buen mes en cuanto a mis labores, mis metas fueron:
1. Bordar y terminar un biscornu para el intercambio de biscornu del foro SBEBB ~ Si!!
