For Kathy...
I'm using half stitches. 2 over 1 on a 22 ct evenweave. I believe I'm getting pretty good coverage, you can only see the fabric in those sections with dark shades. If you don't want this to happen you can probably try a fabric with a higher count, maye 25ct or 28.ct

Thank you sooo much for that I think I will try it. I am using 25ct white evenweave so I will unpick the crossstitch and do half cross stitch. Thanks again hun.
