Birthday gift for Amy

Earlier today I read that Amy received the birthady gift I made/sent her as part of the Stitching Bloggers Birthday Club. I read she liked red, so I decided to go with that. I made her a threadholder based on a tutorial I saw on Nataliejo's blog, the design I stitched is a freebie I found online (freebie from My Aunt's Attic) and it's done over one with WDW Crimson and personalized with her initials.

Stitched on 32ct White Lugana with WDW3860 Crimson (over one)
Stitch count: 74h x 74w
Started: 01. March. 2008
Finished: 03. March. 2008

I wanted to include something Peruvian in her package so I went to a Inka's Market, and while browsing there I found this silver handcraft thimble with Peruvian motifs. The designs in the thimble are Nasca Lines, a network of lines and drawings of animals and plants credited to the Nasca culture covering an area of approximately 350 km2 .
