Bee-scornu ;)

When I read that the challenge for this month on the Monthly Finishing Challenge blog was to make a biscornu I knew what design I wanted to stitch/finish for it . I've been wanting to make this biscornu ever since I saw it on Carol's blog...I just fell in love with it . It's a free design by Barbara Ana called Buzzing Around Biscornu that can be found at Cyberstitchers website; mine is stitched on 28ct Baby Blue Lugana with DMC and I added a JABC flower button in the center of the biscornu. Now that I've finished this one I want to stitch all the biscornu designs that Barbara Ana has released so far... they're just too cute

Cuando lei en el blog "Monthly Finishing Challenge" que el reto de este mes era hacer un biscornu, inmediatamente supe cual era el diseño que iba a bordar/terminar para cumplir el reto . He querido hacer este biscornu desde que lo vi en el blog de Carol...simplemente me encanto . Es un diseño gratis de Barbara Ana llamado "Buzzing Around Bicornu" que se puede encontrar en la pagina web de Cyberstitchers; el mio esta bordado sobre Lugana 28ct con hilos DMC y en el centro del biscornu le añadi un pequeño boton en forma de flor. Ahora que he terminado este, quiero hacer todos los diseños de biscornu que ha publicado Barbara Ana...son tan tiernos

Finally something to share :)

Yay! Today around 1am I finished my needleroll for the Monthly Finishing Challenge blog. I had a hard time trying to decide what I wanted to stitch and then when I had made my decision I got sick so didn't stitch at all last week. But last night (well actually ealy today) I finally finished my needleroll... just in time :) The design I chose was April Rose Needleroll that was featured on the latest TGOS magazine, I didn't have the threads that the pattern called for so I chose my own color conversion of DMC. This is the second needleroll I make and the first one I own...I'm very happy with how it came out :)

Yay!! Muy tempranito hoy termine mi "needleroll" para el reto propuesto en el blog Monthly Finishing Challenge. Me costo muchisimo decidirme que queria bordar para este reto y ya cuando habia elegido el diseño me enferme por lo que toda la semana pasada no toque la aguja, pero anoche (bueno en realidad en la madrugada de hoy) termine el needleroll...justo a tiempo pues el reto concluye hoy :) El diseño es April Rose Needleroll que salio publicado en la ultima edicion de la revista TGOS, no tenia los hilos que indicaba el diseño por lo que hice mi propia version con hilos DMC. Este es el segundo needleroll que hago y el primero que es para mi...estoy muy contenta de como quedo :)

I resently realized that The Guardian has been a wip for a year...1 year !!! I've never had a wips for that long , they usually become ufos before that . So now I'm stitching every Sunday on it; Sundays are usually the days I stitch the most so I hope to finish it on time for Father's Day.
I got bored of my 10 hr rotation last month so this month I'm kind of doing a daily rotation, but that means I don't get to make a lot of progress on each project.

Recientemente noté que The Guardian ya tiene un año como labor en progreso...1año !!! Creo que nunca he tenido una labor en progreso por tanto tiempo por lo general se convierten en ufos antes. Ahora estoy trabando en él los domingos; los domingos son por lo general los días en los que más tiempo bordo por lo que espero poder terminalo a tiempo para el Día del Padre.

El mes pasado me aburrí de rotar mis proyectos cada 10 horas, por lo que ahora estoy haciendo una rotación diaria, lo único malo que le encuentro a esto es que el avance en cada proyecto es pequeño.

Part 2 of Anne R.'s Mystery Sampler was released this week, there are a lot of speciality stitches on this part so I'm making slow progress on it but enjoying working on it a lot!! I also started a needleroll for the Monthly Finishing Challenge blog... I hope I finish it on time, only have 10 days to finish it. Here is my progress on both pieces.

Fue publicada esta semana la segunda parte del Mystery Sampler de Anne R., hay muchos puntos especiales en esta parte por lo que mi progreso es muy lento pero igual estos disfrutando bordar en este proyecto. Esta semana también comencé un needleroll para cumplir el desafio propuesto en el blog "Monthly Finishing Challenge" de realizar un needleroll este mes...espero terminarlo a tiempo ya que no sólo me quedan 10 días para poder realizalo. Acá esta mi avance en ambos proyectos.

SBEBB Here's to Ewe Exchange for Donna

I read on SBEbb that Donna received the Here's to Ewe exchange I sent her. When I was looking for a design to stitch for her I found on PatternsOnline this cute patriotic sheep and thought it was perfect for her. I tea dyed the fabric and lace trim to make them look old and stitched the design with Weeks Dye Work threads. I was very pleased of how this little pillow turned out, and I think Donna likes it too :)

Leí en el foro de Stitching Bloggers Exchange que Donna ha recibido el intercambio que le envie cuyo motivo a bordar era ovejas. Cuando estaba buscando un diseño para bordarle, encontré esta simpatica oveja en PatternsOnline y me pareció perfecto para ella ya que leí en su blog que tiene un sobrino en la armada americana. Teñi la tela y la cinta bordada con té para darle una apariencia de algo antiguo, y le diseño esta bordado con hilos Weeks Dye Work. Me gusto mucho como me quedo esta almohadita y creo que a Donna le gusto también :)

Exchange from Joan

Take a look at this wonderful package that Joan sent me for the SBEBB Here's to Ewe exchange!!!! She made a beautiful round shape box and stitched for the lid a cute design with two sheep on it...her stitching and finishing are fantastic!! Inside the box there was a beautiful handpainted needlecase with my name on it and a cute chicken pincushion. But that's not all...she also sent a L*K design that was on my wishlist with threads and fabric to stitch it, a lovely project bag (that she made :) ) , more threads, memo pads and mints! She really spoiled me, right?!

Thank you so much for this wonderful exchange Joan...I love everything!

Miren el maravilloso paquete que Joan me envio por el intercambio "Here's to Ewe" del foro SBEBB!!!! me envio una cajita redonda, cuya tapa la habia forrado con un lindo bordado de dos ovejas..impecablemente bordado y terminado!! Dentro de la caja habia un port-agujas pintada a mano y personalizada con mi nombre y atambien habia una simpatica gallina alfiletero. Pero eso no es todo...me envio un grafico de L*K que estaba en mi wishlist con los hilos y tela para bordarlo, una linda bolsita para guardar mis projectos, mas hilo, notitas y mentas. Ufff...si que me engrio, no?

Yesterday I finished this month's block for the L*K Double Flips SAL. This is a very short post as I have tons of thing to do...just wanted to share my progress :)
