On the weekend I stitched and finished a little freebie I found on Midsummer Night Designs blog. Carol asked me to stitch her something for Valentines so I decided to do this one for her and finish it as a small ornie. I did it on 32ct linen 1 over 1, it's the first time I stitch a design completely over 1, it took me a while to get used to those tiny stitches but at the end I like how it looks.
I also wanted to thank you for all the lovely comments you've left me lately...I really enjoy reading what you think about my stitching.
Stitched on: 32ct R&R Linen Crème Brulee with DMC (over 1)

It is very pretty and I love how you finished it.
Beautiful job! Over one isn't as daunting as it sounds isn't it?
Carla, its lovely! Such teeny, tiny stitches. You did a great job with the finishing, too! Yours is the second one that I've seen stitched up...just might have to do one, also.
Beautiful Carla.

Hi Carla,
What a lovely little gift you've stitched for Carol. Your first 1 over 1 piece turned out beautifully, and it is a really cute design. The colours are nice and bright and springy. Did you find it hard on your eyes to
stitch ??
And congratulations on finishing off Princess and the P. I wasn't too keen on this design from seeing it on the LHN website, but seeing it completed and in a descent size picture on your blog I think that I'm changing my opinion.
You've done such a lovely job of stitching it, and it's such a pretty PINK all over. And let's face it...that dog is too cute!! I love the expression on his face. Who can resist a shaggy dog???
Your Valentine exchange from Carol is fantastic too. I love how the variegation's in the threads used to stitch it show up so well, and the colours are so pretty. I really love pinkeep finishes. This is certainly a treasure.
Cheers!
