A chimpanzee

Last year I signed up for the Into the Jungle SAL by The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery. I didn't keep up with it so I'm still working on it. Last night, I finished the 7th block, the chimpanzee.

The chimpanzee was the first thing I stitched in that block and I messed up the placement so I had to make little adjustments to the block.

El año pasado, me anoté al SAL de The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery, Into the Jungle.

The crocodile block

I finished May's block of the Into the Jungle Stitch-A-Long. I will now put it away for a few weeks to work on my other wips.

The next one in my rotation is Soda's Stitch G-39 Alphabet Learning. I only have four more letter to add and it will be done! I'll post a pic of that piece on my next update.

Finishes and progress

Since my last update, I finished two amigurumi: a tiny beagle puppy and a mosquito.
I usually don't make amigurumi this small but the beagle would be used as a keychain so it needed to be small.

Pattern:  Beagle by Mitsuki Hoshi
Book: Ami Ami Dogs
Yarn: 100% Acrylic
Hook: 3mm
Started: 16. June. 2018
Finished: 20. June. 2018

And last night, I finished a mosquito that will be traveling to Spain. This is fun and fast design to work, specially if you just started making amigurumi.

Pattern:  Dale the Mosquito by Fresh Stitches
Yarn: 100% Acrylic
Hook: 4mm (G)
Started: 22. June. 2018
Finished: 25. June. 2018

I've also been working on finishing the fifth block of Into the Jungle. This block is represented by a crocodile accompanied by three black birds (at least I think they are birds). Only a few more lines of water to add and I'm done with this block!

I made a start on this month's block of Into the Jungle. There is a lot of stitching in this block, I hope I can finish it this weekend *fingers crossed*

WIPocalypse ~ March update

Since my last WIPocalypse update I've  only worked on 2 pieces. Stitching time is very limited right now so my progress is slow.

I'm keeping up to date with TFPS SAL: Into the Jungle (I'll be doing the top and bottom frames that were released on February at the end of the year) and I've completed another letter of Alphabet Learning (SO-G39) by Soda Stitch.

The question for this month is:

"What newer designers and product creators (fabric or floss dyeing, etc) out there have you discovered and recommend?"

I'm on a stash diet right now so I'm not actively searching for new designs or designers. But one that I discovered on Etsy this year is Fuzzy Fox Designs. The designs are very colorful and fun, and the instructions on the charts are clear and easy to follow.

I used two of her cacti designs to make a birthday present, you can see my finish here.

A small update

Last week was pretty busy at work so I had very little time to do my crafts But I did finish March's block of Into the Jungle, so now I'm up to date with this SAL :)

After a short break...

I'm back! I take a few days off because I had some health issues so I didn't feel like crafting, but yesterday I picked up my needles and hooks and had two finishes! *yay*

First I finished the second block on Into the Jungle by The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery. Those toucans had a lot of color changes and I kept messing up but their done now :)

After finishing the toucans, I picked up my hooks and finished a baby lovey I had been working on before I got sick. She was almost done I just had to finish the hair and sew everything together. I think she turned out really cute °Ü°

Pattern:  Watermelon Doll Lovey by Yulia Mozhaiska
Yarn: 100% Cotton
Hook: 2.5mm(toy) - 3mm (blanket)
Started: 26. February. 2018
Finished: 11. March. 2018

WIPocalypse - January update

It's time to show my progress on my WIPocalypse projects.

This month I've worked on three pieces. Two HAED, Ice Princess and QS Snowflake Wonder, and started Into the Jungle the new SAL by The Frosted Pupkin Stitchery.

The question for this month is:

"January 27 – What SAL’s are you participating in this year? and If you are participating in the Olympic Stitching Challenge, what challenge are you accepting?  What are your goals?"

This year I will be participating in two SAL (at least for now). The first one is Into the Jungle by The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery of which I already finished the first block and the other one is Farmhouse Christmas by Little House Needleworks.

And no, I won't be participating in the Olympic Stitching Challenge.

Into the Jungle SAL ~ January

I signed up for The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery's 2018 Stitch-A-Long. Lately, their designs where not appealing to me but the theme for this year is jungle animals and the teasers they showed were cute so I decided to give it a go.

I bought the kit and also the needleminder that they designed for this SAL.

January's block was release on the 15th and I stitched mine on the weekend. The first animal is a cute sloth. The only thing I changed was that I made him with a smile.

Will be back on the weekend with a WIPocalypse update.
